The Designer plays a pivotal role in this mission by providing technical design services that support bids, opportunities generated by the sales team, and assigned client projects. Designers collaborate closely with Sales, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators to deliver accurate, functional, and inspiring design solutions through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

Programming & Project Discovery

  • Partner with Sales to review project scope, timelines, and goals.
  • Conduct client interviews to gather programming information.
  • Verify field dimensions and ensure accuracy of project data.
  • Develop project timelines with Sales and Project Management.

Design Development & Bid Support

  • Create typicals, specifications, and budgets based on client needs and bid opportunities.
  • Participate in product evaluations, presentations, and bid responses.
  • Provide value-engineering options and solutions that maximize client investment.
  • Manage outsourced design support while serving as the primary client contact.

Final Design & Documentation

  • Develop final floorplans, finish selections, and specifications in CET.
  • Present and revise designs with client approval.
  • Ensure all service fees, discounts, and pricing structures are accurate.
  • Prepare and upload proposals, drawings, and sign-offs into IQ.

Accuracy & Quality Assurance

  • Perform detailed spec checks and coordinate double-check reviews with peers.
  • Revise and finalize specifications before proposals are submitted.

Installation & Closeout Support

  • Prepare installation packets for Operations and Project Management.
  • Participate in pre-install meetings, walk-throughs, and punch list reviews.
  • Update as-built drawings for record-keeping.
  • Support teams through final project closeout to ensure client satisfaction.

Standards & Professionalism

  • Adhere to company design standards, processes, and policies.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets and expense reports.
  • Participate in company meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
