In conjunction with the Director, Community Engagement and Public Relations, responsible for overseeing organizational marketing, public relations, and media outreach efforts serving internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates and aligns internal and external team members to develop, write, and implement press communications, newsletters, story features, website materials, brochures, and print materials, including design, branding, photography, and written content.
- Develops the MTN calendar, quarterly CEO report, and annual report, managing internal and external teams throughout the process.
- Supports the Director, Community Engagement and Public Relations (DCEPR) in managing relationships with external marketing/public relations/advertising agencies, ensuring adherence to deadlines, scope, vision, and budget.
- Manages organization and updates of the MTN website, utilizing WordPress CMS, delegating design and user experience support as needed.
- Builds relationships with the press to promote MTN externally.
- Maintains relationships with MTN leaders for cross-team collaboration.
- Coordinates MTN’s participation in the Rose Parade, including family selection and decorating events.
- Maintains knowledge of laws/regulations related to donation processes, including organ, eye, and tissue donation.
- Coordinates public campaigns, sponsorships, billboards, social marketing, and print promotions.
- Proposes and executes strategies for public relations and promotions.
- Develops and delivers presentations confidently to large groups.
- Represents MTN at various meetings and events.
- Supports National Donate Life Month and Donate Life America campaigns.
- Collaborates on campaigns for workplace partnerships, National Donor Sabbath, and multicultural donor awareness events.
Qualifications and Physical Demands
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a medical environment.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Experience with content management systems.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours/week, with occasional extended periods.
- Detail-oriented, organized, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the service area.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate office equipment.
- Clear communication skills, both in person and by phone.
- No exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- Home internet and wireless phone may be required.
