Overview
As a UX designer, you will guide government clients through our Design Intelligence process, utilizing human-centered methods to address complex user experience challenges. You will plan and execute UX initiatives from discovery through design, prototyping, iteration, and testing. Your role will serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs are considered and met within proposed solutions.
Contributions
Responsibilities:
- Participating in all aspects of the design process to understand the problem, conduct user interviews, identify pain points and opportunities, and create a compelling experience vision.
- Understanding the relevance of artifacts like personas, journey maps, user flows, stakeholder maps, experience maps, and ecosystems in crafting the user experience.
- Conducting user research and translating user needs into actionable strategies.
- Designing intuitive and elegant digital solutions supported by testing and iterative design.
- Contributing to branding and design libraries.
- Driving adoptability and usability of developed interfaces and systems.
- Ensuring all deliverables across projects meet high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
- 4+ years of professional UX/UI design experience with multi-platform digital products, including mobile and responsive web design.
- Thorough knowledge of UX/UI methods and tools, such as wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing.
- Experience integrating user research within an agile environment.
- UI design skills and familiarity with design systems.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, Axure, or similar tools.
- Desire to stay current with industry tools and best practices, with the ability to recommend improvements.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams including service designers, technologists, product managers, and engineers.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving curiosity.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Experience in a project-based environment.
- Degree or equivalent in HCD, HCI, or UX design.
- Experience with Salesforce implementation teams is a plus but not required.
