ALL ABOUT VISUAL MERCHANDISING
The Visual Merchandiser supports a great guest experience by ensuring visual moments align with company standards to drive sales and inspire guests. They are experts in visual presentation, including merchandising techniques, mannequin styling, mapping, fixture blocking, and In Store Marketing (ISM) elements.
Skills and experiences include:
- Retail fundamentals like sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions
- Planning and communicating workload to support sales goals
- Training and developing team members in visual merchandising
- Leading visual merchandising strategies and standards
Typical responsibilities:
- Plan visual workload with guidance to include sales goals, events, and promotions
- Execute visual assessments and partner with leaders to improve store visuals
- Ensure visual standards are met across the store
- Support implementation of visual strategies and standards
- Validate visual presentations in partnership with leaders
- Highlight key merchandising with lighting
- Solve merchandising issues and adjust displays as needed
- Teach team visual standards and signing strategies during interactions
- Maintain backroom organization and signage tools
- Support onboarding and continuous learning
- Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct
- Work safely and report hazards
Qualifications:
- Enjoy helping others and working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years visual merchandising experience, at least 18 years old
- Business acumen and creativity
- Understanding of trends and styles
- Leadership and communication skills
- Ability to operate technology and manage workload independently
- Customer service-oriented attitude
