Technical Writer
MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking a skilled Technical Writer in Merrifield, VA who can turn complex processes into clear, practical documentation. Join us in supporting the U.S. Postal Service, where you'll create user manuals, process guides, and SOPs for a custom-built software platform that manages documentation for large-scale equipment projects nationwide. "Write the Playbook Behind USPS's Biggest Projects" This is your chance to combine technical writing expertise with a high-impact federal mission - helping USPS teams nationwide deliver projects that keep the mail moving. The position will be fully onsite for the first six months, after which the position can be approved for one day of remote work. Responsibilities include developing user-friendly guides and manuals for a USPS in-house software application that supports equipment design, testing, installation, and maintenance. Translate technical workflows and project data (facility drawings, schedules, contractor info, delivery dates, etc.) into step-by-step instructions and process guides. Work with project managers and engineers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all documentation deliverables. Create content that supports nationwide deployments of major USPS mail-sorting equipment.
Basic Qualifications include proven experience writing software user guides, SOPs, and process documentation. Ability to understand complex systems and explain them in plain language. Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional USPS teams. Must pass a background check and drug screening to be eligible for Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications include familiarity with project management workflows, technical environments, or large-scale deployments.
