Position: X-Ray Film Level 2 Inspector
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Norfolk, VA
Industry: Aerospace / Manufacturing
Environment: Climate-controlled facility
Pay: $41/hr.
Shifts available:
- 2nd shift: 2pm - 10pm
- 3rd shift: 10pm - 6am
- Weekend shift: 6am - 6pm (Friday - Sunday)
**Training will likely be on 1st shift

Position Summary:
Radiographs and inspects industrial gas turbine castings and structural members for flaws, cracks, or presence of foreign materials and process-related deviations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate x-ray and film processing equipment
- Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with process standards and customer requirements
- Provide guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel
- Develop work instructions from approved general procedures (requiring final approval by Level 3)
- Perform system checks and calibrations on equipment related to x-ray film process
- Comply with attendance policies and work overtime as needed
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical materials and present information to management
- Calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference; apply algebra and geometry
- Solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current or previous X-Ray film Level 2 certification (ASNT SNT-TC-1A or NAS-410)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a certified film Level 2 inspector
- Internal certification with rectification every five years required
- Strong math, problem-solving, and interpretation skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
- Access to export-controlled items required
