All the consumption data used to understand our subscribers, what they watch, how they watch, and the work we do to figure out how to keep improving depends on our data infrastructure. This framework spans from our internal feed of information to what we get through external vendors; and third-party cloud-based data visualization tools to what we build ourselves. Because these systems are an integral part of what we do, our primary goal is to ensure we're leveraging the data effectively and efficiently.

Starz is looking for an industry expert with a passion for TV and streaming content; as Manager, Content Analytics, you will support the Content Insights team and partner with the Data Products & Engineering team to maintain systems, build tools, and maintain and utilize data models to help internal stakeholders make more informed decisions. Reporting to the Vice President of Content Insights, you will spearhead a variety of projects and be responsible for driving improvements across the team's portfolio of data resources.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Content Insights team to create and execute a data strategy roadmap that maximizes resources, collaborating with the Content Analytics Engineer to build best-in-class analytics products that support critical data infrastructure for the Content Insights team, utilizing both external and proprietary sources

• Reporting to the VP, Content Insights, will work closely with the Content Insights team and colleagues in Insights & Analytics to create and maintain a framework for our consumption data infrastructure

• Create and maintain critical reporting tables using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau dashboards) for Content Insights team and internal stakeholders

• Work with our Data Engineering partners and the Data Science team to make sure we have great data to support the products we are building and want to develop

• Serve as a liaison in managing external/internal data feeds that the team relies on for modeling, ensuring that data is accurate and fits team needs

• Serve as an additional technical resource when necessary, stepping in to perform task-oriented work in SQL or other applicable languages

• Explore and mine large data sets to understand user behavior across the portfolio; Optimize existing models and codebase to increase performance and accuracy

• Create and manage Tableau dashboards for internal stakeholders and senior leadership, optimizing existing resources for optimal efficiency.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience with data warehouse concepts and data management life cycle and highly proficient in programming languages like SQL and/or Python

• Experience working with distributed systems, building and maintaining pipelines using various cloud technologies (e.g. Snowflake)

• A collaborative and proactive workstyle, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects; must have strong attention to detail skills, specifically for data quality and reporting

• Familiarity with statistical methods (time series, linear regression, etc.) and machine learning concepts a plus

• Familiarity with work on GenAI use cases a plus (but not required)

• B.A/B.S./M.S in relevant fields such as (but not limited to) Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

Conpensation

$110,000-$120,000
