The Social Media Manager plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Global Evangelism, Inc. (GEI) by strategically expanding the organization’s digital presence. This position is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, managing online engagement, and ensuring brand consistency across all digital platforms. Working closely with the Creative Pastor, Content Coordinators, and Social Media Producers, the Social Media Manager drives meaningful engagement, strengthens community connection, and increases awareness of GEI’s mission to take all the Gospel to all the work and every generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain social media content calendars and posting schedules to grow audience reach, engagement, and brand awareness.

• Manage and optimize GEI’s social media platforms, ensuring effective engagement strategies and consistent brand representation.

• Create compelling and mission-aligned content, including copy, graphics, and short-form video, for multi-platform distribution.

• Collaborate with Content Coordinators to align social media initiatives with broader content and marketing strategies.

• Partner with Social Media Producers to develop high-performing video and multimedia content tailored for digital platforms.

• Plan, manage, and analyze paid social media campaigns, advising on digital ad budgets and ensuring strong ROI.

• Monitor and analyze performance metrics (KPIs, engagement, reach, conversions) to inform data-driven decisions and optimize campaigns.

• Enhance digital discoverability through SEO best practices and platform-specific optimization strategies.

• Stay current with social media algorithms, digital marketing trends, and emerging technologies to maximize engagement opportunities.

• Support the Creative Pastor with additional marketing and media initiatives as assigned.

• Perform other duties as required to support the ministry’s overall mission.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.

• 2-3 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a ministry, nonprofit, or creative environment.

• Demonstrated success in managing and growing social media platforms, particularly X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in managing and optimizing social media accounts across multiple platforms.

• Excellent copywriting skills tailored to diverse audiences and digital formats.

• Working knowledge of video editing software for creating engaging social media clips.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to track performance metrics and make data-driven adjustments.

• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

• Adaptability to evolving social media trends, platform updates, and audience preferences.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk or stand, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
