What is this role on a high level?

We seek to hire Atelier Ten San Francisco’s newest full-time Design Staff. In this role, you will collaborate with your project team to analyze design options and recommend solutions related to daylighting, energy systems, water use, thermal comfort, occupant health, sustainable materials, and more. You will also manage LEED program administration, including credit feasibility analysis and documentation.

What your day-to-day looks like

Days at Atelier Ten involve a variety of projects, from offices and labs to large masterplans. We promise to keep you challenged and engaged. Typical tasks include:

  • Authoring project reports, memos, and technical documents
  • Creating graphic illustrations using technical practices
  • Communicating with clients
  • Supporting technical analysis teams on projects
  • Working on diverse projects within the built environment, including institutional, commercial, and residential buildings, as well as large-scale masterplans
  • Collaborating with integrated design groups to support environmental design consulting, daylight and façade analysis, carbon analysis, and benchmarking

What we are looking for

If you’re excited about this role, here’s what we hope you bring:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in environmental building design, architecture, architectural engineering, or building science
  • 0-4 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign), and Rhino
  • Desirable skills include software like R, Grasshopper, Radiance, Revit, eQuest, EnergyPlus, IES, D3, or data visualization tools
  • Strong skills in computer and hand drafting, sketching, and proficiency in English (written and spoken), with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with LEED or sustainable design is a plus

Atelier Ten US offers compensation based on role responsibilities, candidate’s education, experience, skills, and location, among other factors. The estimated base salary range is $60,000 to $70,000, excluding benefits. Compensation may vary for remote candidates outside listed locations.
