We are a new , secretive AI research startup that is pioneering a paradigm shift in the development of AI systems with a scientifically feasible path to superintelligence. Founded by industry veterans and world-renowned academic leaders with deep scientific authority, who are recognized pioneers in the field and have mentored several of the AI PhDs now driving new areas of research at other leading labs.

The Role

We're seeking a narrative architect, someone who doesn't just "do comms", but can build movements , generate momentum, and turn a whisper into the loudest signal in the Valley; to craft and control a high-impact narrative, strategically signal momentum, and reinforce exclusivity without visibility.

This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role for someone who sees communications as a tool for impact. Success in this role will not only shape our company's future but also impact the future of humanity at large. A proven track record across top-tier media, strategic communications firms, and influential circles in Silicon Valley is essential.

Objectives

• Narrative Strategy : Craft and evolve a founder-led narrative that positions us as the next category-defining, once-in-a-generation AI research lab.
• Media Intelligence : Shape stories that leak before they launch, seed exclusives, and hit targeted and relevant top-tier publications.
• Hype Generation : Drive inbound interest from media, talent and top-tier investors. Think controlled firestorms; intentional virality at the highest levels.
• Crisis-Ready Messaging : You'll anticipate landmines before they explode. You've been here before.
• Strategic Ghostwriting : Help shape the founders' public voice with precision; across posts, op-eds, threads, keynotes, leaks, and more.
• Investor Positioning : Pre-round narrative buildup to build momentum, scarcity, and FOMO around a historic fundraise.

You

• Have successfully built media narratives that changed perception, spiked investor demand, or framed an early-stage company as inevitable.
• Have deep relationships with top-tier tech journalists and know how to make stories land with impact.
• Have been the invisible force behind major founder personas, funding rounds, or brand moments.
• Understand how to amplify a company's vision and momentum through strategic, truth-based storytelling
• Have deep understanding of the foundational AI landscape.
• Are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and deeply understand the cultural dynamics, tempo, and media rhythms of the local ecosystem.

This is a highly sophisticated and strategic role within an intensely intellectual and competitive AI environment, where precision and discretion are critical. The position mandates extensive and proven experience. Given the high stakes and fierce competition in AI, this role is absolutely critical for shaping the company's narrative and positioning.
