- Process assigned customs entry documents and related filings accurately and in a timely manner, including ISF and Customs Entry filing
- Maintain and update customer/importers profiles
- Determine and track duties and taxes payable; process payments on behalf of clients
- Handle accounting processes as they apply to CHB including the issuance of invoices to customers or overseas offices as well as the processing of payment requisitions
- Ensure maximum customer service satisfaction through interaction with clients and other company business units; provide timely responses to customer inquiries and status requests
- Notify management of any customer complaints or entry discrepancies and provide suggestions to resolve issues
- Review and distribute documentation to ensure regulatory compliance of participating government agencies
- Interact with Customs and other government agencies as needed
- Adhere to regulatory compliance and procedures/productivity standards
- Support other team members with accounts and workload on day-to-day operations
- Assist with the creation of client SOPs
- Other duties as requested
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Entry Writing experience for the Staff
- 5+ years of Entry Writing experience for the Senior Staff
- 5+ years of Logistics, Freight, International Transportation, and Customs related experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred
- Ability to identify when escalation is needed to find a resolution on an existing problem
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to do multi-task to ensure daily brokerage operations are successfully completed
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications and analytical skills
- Possess strong cross-functional teamwork, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of US Customs and other Government Agency Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
