Job description:

Title: Jr. REL Instructional Designer I
Locations: Hybrid – Onsite 2x/week

• Vienna, VA
• Winchester, VA
• Pensacola, FL

Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Contract Length: 6 months
Experience Required: 1–5 years
Work Authorization: US Citizens, Green Card Holders, TN Visa, Green Card EADs

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs/trainers to design engaging courses & curricula.
• Conduct training needs assessments.
• Develop classroom, e-learning, and blended learning content.
• Create/edit learning activities and reports in LMS.
• Build dynamic instructional materials (presentations, guides, multimedia).
• Evaluate training effectiveness & adjust materials accordingly.
• Support project teams with multiple deliverables.
• Deliver presentations, including to executive leadership.
• Train others on effective use of ILT and VILT materials.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, Behavioral Sciences, Training Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–5 years experience in instructional design.
• Knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, and training methodologies.
• Experience creating training content, multimedia, and evaluations.
• Skills in LMS administration, curriculum development, and instructional strategy.
• Strong organizational, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.

Desired:

• Experience in multimedia training.
• Familiarity with Navy Federal’s products, services, policies, and procedures.
