The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Technical Designer, you will use your knowledge of the entire product development cycle and all related milestones serving a critical role in coordinating style development from concept through fit approval and graded spec release. You will work with team members to meet all calendar deadlines. You will create Technical Specification Packets, manage the development of block templates, fit approvals, and grading. Categories include woven, knits, sweaters intimates, swim wear and outerwear across multiple brands. You will be hybrid remote at our West Chester, PA office. Your Impact Partner with Design counterpart to implement aesthetic and fit intent from first proto to final production-ready sample. Provide technical leadership in collaboration with partners to gain clear direction on matters of aesthetic, fit intent, specs, pattern, construction methods and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall quality of the garment. Maintain fit consistency for product by establishing the initial block spec. Ensure standard grade rules, quality, construction standards and fit for all garments. Complete technical specification packets including measurements specifications, construction details, appropriate tolerances, and any predefined performance standards. Manage and facilitate the communication with vendors/factories of all information necessary to create the garments and corrections and approvals. Identify potential production, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity. Analyze garment to determine compliance of spec, construction, fit intent and aesthetic. What You Bring 6+ years of experience with garment construction. 6 + years of experience with Product Development tech pack creation. 6+ years of technical design experience with Knit, Woven and Sweaters fit. Proficient in Flex PLM and Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge of pattern making and grading.
