Job Description
We are seeking a Low Voltage Estimator to perform site assessments and develop accurate project quotes for access control, video surveillance, nurse call, and wander management systems. This is a new role within our company and will be based in our Greensboro office. The right candidate will be comfortable evaluating customer facilities, documenting device layouts with System Surveyor, and preparing detailed quotes using company-provided tools.
This position offers the opportunity to grow into a senior role as part of a collaborative, fast-moving team.
Responsibilities
Conduct site visits to evaluate customer facilities (10–15% travel, mostly day trips, occasional overnight).
Use System Surveyor and other tools to document device locations, layouts, and cable lengths.
Prepare accurate project cost estimates and proposals using company quote tools.
Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure proposals are complete, accurate, and timely.
Shadow installation teams during the first six months to gain hands-on system knowledge.
Research and source product information from manufacturers and internal resources.
Present estimates internally for review prior to customer delivery.
Maintain records of all estimates in Monday.com CRM and supporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in low voltage system estimating or project management.
Strong background in access control and video surveillance; nurse call/wander management experience highly preferred.
Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (experience with Monday.com a plus).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, and technical documents.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter who can work independently and track down necessary information.
Willingness to travel for site assessments.
Certifications (NICET, BICSI, manufacturer-specific) welcomed but not required.
