With years of custom modifications our current site runs the factory, admin, and retail front end, we’re ready to transition to a modern platform for both front-end and back-end development. Position: Full-Stack Web Developer

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of a new e-commerce website from scratch, replacing our legacy system.

  • Select and implement a modern front-end and back-end platform (e.g., React, Vue.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks) in collaboration with the team.

  • Collaborate with in-house stakeholders and outsourced developers in multiple countries to ensure seamless integration and project alignment.

  • Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable code for both front-end and back-end components.

  • Optimize the website for performance, security, and SEO.

  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other e-commerce functionalities.

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a high-quality user experience.

  • Document code and processes for future maintenance and scalability.

  • Provide ongoing support and updates post-launch.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).

    • Strong back-end development skills (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, or similar).

    • Experience with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

    • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their ecosystems (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom solutions).

    • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, payment gateway integrations, and third-party services.

    • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work with remote teams across different time zones.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with in-house and outsourced teams.

  • Experience migrating legacy systems to modern platforms.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Must have track record of project management.
