WTEN-10 TV in Albany, New York is hiring a full-time News Anchor. The News Anchor serves as the primary presenter of news stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers.

Responsibilities:

• Presents news stories and other content for all platforms.
• Ensures that all news content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
• Writes and delivers news stories clearly and concisely.
• Produces newscasts and communicates effectively with team members.
• Assists in writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating news programming.
• Acts as a field reporter as assigned.
• Conducts interviews with news personnel and others.
• Responds to breaking news and urgent situations.
• Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Edits video clips as needed.
• Writes content for websites and other digital platforms.
• Interacts with viewers on social media.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
• Strong on-air presence and news judgment.
• Ability to guide and motivate others.
• Proficiency with office equipment and digital tools.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.

Benefits:

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000. Includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(K), and more.
