Adjunct Faculty - Art History and Visual Culture - School of the Arts & Design-Visual Arts

TWU Visual Arts is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses in Art History and Visual Culture.

Applicants should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: decolonial global art history, women in art, contemporary art, art writing, and museum studies.

We are interested in student-centered instructors with a social justice and/or feminist-influenced pedagogical approach. The adoption of open educational resources (OER) is welcomed.

The Visual Arts Division at TWU seeks applications on a rolling basis to create a pool of potential adjuncts. Please submit materials understanding that there are no specific deadlines, and we will contact you only if a need arises. If you do not hear back, it does not necessarily indicate rejection. You may submit updated materials, ideally no more than twice a year.

Please provide the following documents in PDF format (including your name in the file title), preferably as a single document:

1. A cover letter detailing your qualifications, interests in teaching topics and courses, and whether you have at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
2. A current curriculum vitae including educational background and teaching experience.
3. A list of three references with phone numbers and email addresses.
4. An unofficial transcript from your highest degree aligned with the discipline you wish to teach.
