AGI Mosaics is a vibrant art school and community hub dedicated to the art of mosaics, stained glass, painting, and other creative disciplines. We bring together artists of all ages and skill levels, encouraging creativity, technical mastery, and community building. We are seeking a talented Stained Glass Teaching Artist to join our team and inspire the next generation of glass artists.

Position Summary

The Stained Glass Teaching Artist will design and teach engaging stained glass classes for youth, teens, and adults. The ideal candidate is not only highly skilled in stained glass techniques but also passionate about teaching, mentoring, and fostering creativity in a supportive studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver hands-on stained glass classes and workshops (beginner to intermediate levels).

• Teach essential stained glass techniques, including pattern design, glass cutting, copper foil method, soldering, and finishing.

• Provide individual guidance and support to students with varying levels of experience.

• Ensure safe and proper use of stained glass tools and materials.

• Prepare lesson plans, supply lists, and project ideas tailored to class levels.

• Maintain an organized, welcoming, and collaborative classroom environment.

• Contribute to the creative culture of AGI Mosaics by engaging with students, staff, and the broader art community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in stained glass art and techniques.

• Prior teaching or workshop facilitation experience (preferred but not required).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work with diverse groups of students (youth, adults, and multi-generational workshops).

• Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Schedule & Compensation

• Flexible part-time schedule (classes and workshops typically run on weekdays, evenings, or weekends).

• Compensation is competitive and based on experience and class structure.
