Compensation Range: $30 - 34 per hour

Our nonprofit client is seeking a Content Writer to produce marketing materials and feature stories that strategically highlight Western U.S. and Canadian divisional conservation priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Write and edit compelling stories and strategic communications.
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (e.g., scientists, program leads).
• Manage the full lifecycle of a story, from initial research and interviews to drafting and final delivery.
• Incorporate and manage feedback from multiple stakeholders.
• Proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely review and approval of content.
• Write and edit new and existing web feature articles/stories, fact sheets, newsletters articles, magazine articles, annual reports, video scripts, campaign brochures, and presentations.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience as a writer in professional settings.
• Experience working in a non-profit setting, bonus if a candidate has worked for any science or conservation non-profits.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Experience with web and social-first narratives in alignment with ethical storytelling.
