What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a creative, trend-savvy Social Media Manager & Content Creator to own our brand’s presence on our social media platforms. This role blends strategy and hands-on creation, you’ll ideate, shoot, edit, and publish content that brings our brand to life across entertainment, education, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.

What You’ll Do:

Content Strategy & Execution

• Develop and manage a social media content calendar built around our key pillars.
• Stay ahead of trends on TikTok and Instagram, identifying opportunities for memes, trending sounds, and skits that align with our brand voice.
• Translate brand campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments into engaging social-first content.
• Build series-style content that can run episodically to drive consistent engagement and audience retention.
• Ensure all content reflects our brand personality, voice, and visual identity while staying optimized for each platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams (creative, marketing, product) to align content with broader brand initiatives.
• Regularly review analytics to refine strategies, test new formats, and double down on what resonates most with the audience.

Content Creation

• Concept, write, shoot, and edit engaging short-form video content optimized for TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
• Experiment with skits, social experiments, and storytelling formats to keep content fresh, relatable, and shareable.
• Repurpose content across channels while tailoring it to fit the unique culture, tone, and algorithms of each platform.
• Ensure a consistent brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling style across all creative outputs.
• Capture behind-the-scenes footage, day-in-the-life content, packaging processes, and team culture to humanize the brand.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external creators/partners for content opportunities.

Analytics & Growth

• Track performance across social media channels, adjusting strategies based on engagement and reach.
• Report on KPIs to continuously improve results and grow followers into loyal fans.

Who You Are:

• A digital native with a deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram culture.
• Experienced in short-form video creation (filming and editing).
• Comfortable in front of and behind the camera.
• Passionate about building community, not just pushing content.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of social media or content creation experience (brand or personal creator).
• Strong video editing skills for TikTok/Instagram formats.
• Excellent copywriting skills for captions and hooks.
• Photography skills (nice to have).
• Ability to work hybrid in Carlsbad, CA.
