Position Purpose:

We are looking to recruit a Marketing Content Creator located at our Lafayette, Indiana facility to help our business continue to grow. This cross-disciplinary position will assist the company in the employment of web-based sales & marketing at our Lafayette, Indiana facility including the development of images, video, and related infrastructure to be used for the direct promotion of our products to potential customers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), be highly organized, pay great attention to detail, and be totally in-tune with the state-of-the-art of digital media. This person should possess the desire to excel with and learn from a team of hard-working professionals who have a passion for what they do. This position gives the flexibility to add creative touches to content creation and overall marketing strategies for the company.

Candidates to be a Marketing Content Creator at APT can expect to potentially be involved in:

  • Creating brand awareness by managing and creating video, picture, and audio content development for business’s external advertising and social media profiles.
  • Online store development resulting in the effective communication of product features through visual content development is a focus of this position.
  • Updating/developing visual website content via a content management system (CMS)
  • Updating website search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Making and receiving direct telecommunications with the intent of promoting or selling company products or services to corporate customers.
  • Identifying prospects and tracking sales activities.
  • May respond to customer inquiries by following standard scripts and procedures.
  • Coordinating and assisting with the marketing activities of our company’s product lines.
  • Using simple marketing strategies and media (print, digital, etc.) to launch and position our products and services.
  • Participating in arranging proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports.
  • Performing administrative duties for the sales & marketing team as assigned and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Desired Skillsand Experience:

  • The ability to receive direction from management and use individual creativity to work independently with limited instruction from management.
  • Word/image/data processing using Windows & web-based applications including but not limited to:
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Adobe Reader
  • Limited AutoCAD (desired but not required)
  • Photo & Video Editing Software
  • Online store development experience resulting in the effective communication of product features through visual content development is a focus of this position. Ability to travel as necessary and handle other duties as required
  • Experience in computer graphics, CAD manipulation, and marketing literature development.
  • Experience with website content development, social media, Adobe Reader and PDFs, photo editing software, WordPress and basic HTML (If not, we’ll teach you all of these and more).

Education & Qualifications:

  • Demonstratable history of a minimum of three (3) years with video and pictorial content creation and visual web store development and management.
  • Creative candidates shall have the skills of individuals pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Media, Marketing, Communications, or Computer Graphics desired; however, formal education is not required.
