What are we looking for in our UX Designer?

Job Title: UX Designer

Location: Austin, TX- Hybrid

Duration: 6+ months

Pay rate: $30/hr- $38/hr W2 (DOE)

HR Eng team builds world-class people and culture solutions and powers the HR technology that underpins the entirety of the employee’s career, from Hire to Retire. For this role, we focused on creating delightful experiences for employees across different People Operation Products. We work closely with xfn teams to deeply understand user needs and prioritize user-centric solutions.

Overall Responsibilities: (Share 2-3 sentences about the POSITION)

In this role, you will design and implement solutions based on product requirements, elevate the user experience of internal tools for all employees, and collaborate closely with user research and engineering partners.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: (3+ bullets of the main responsibilities on the assignment)

Create design concepts (e.g., mock-ups, prototypes, models) to effectively communicate design ideas.

Rapidly iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.

Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec and collaborate on creative design solutions when technical challenges arise.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: (All skills, both technical and soft, required to be successful in the role)

2 years working as a professional user experience designer.

A solid understanding of user-centered and interaction design principles and best practices with a fluency using UX tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer, etc.).

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good working relationships across varying levels of the organization.

Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, and Researchers throughout the end to end design process.

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications: (Skills that would be nice to have but are not essential in the role)

Experience working on Enterprise products, especially HR related projects

Ability to work within a highly technical environment; good understanding of technical requirements and limitations.

Strong hybrid design skills across interaction, visual, prototyping and motion design.
