Sev1Tech is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer to join our Army Tactical Network IPS team on-site in Aberdeen, MD. The Senior Technical Writer will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation for technical processes, products, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise, manage, and mentor personnel in the technical documentation function.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical professionals to write, edit, and publish various documents (e.g., test plans, test reports, survey reports).
• Oversee the production flow of technical publications.
• Track and monitor all documents from inception to distribution.
• Identify and resolve issues as they arise.
• Perform final quality assurance checks on all document deliverables.
• Participate in proposal writing projects and serve as proposal coordinator for large efforts.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and assignments.
• Lead major technology projects.
• Evaluate performance and recommend changes for project success.
• Supervise team members as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a SECRET level clearance.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in English, Journalism, or related field from an accredited institution or military school.
• At least six (6) years of professional technical writing experience supporting complex projects.
• Experience with MIL STD 40051.
