The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock is looking for a reporter to cover the community of North Little Rock, including its city government and schools, as well as the nearby cities of Sherwood and Jacksonville.

The Democrat-Gazette is interested in candidates who will immerse themselves within the community, nurture working relationships, and produce impactful stories that have readers talking the next day.

The position requires strong reporting skills, the ability to write breaking news and enterprise stories, and a passion for creative storytelling. Candidates must have a willingness to collaborate across the newsroom, as well as experience in multimedia storytelling and an interest in further developing those skills.

This position requires working nights and weekends, and being available to work long hours when news dictates.
