Sinclair Broadcast Group is hiring: General Assignment Reporter in Baltimore

WBFF-TV Fox 45 is looking for a take-charge General Assignment Reporter to help us continue to grow and empower our audiences!

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, creative, and aggressive reporter who can think and perform outside the box. The ideal candidate should be able to develop story ideas and gather information for newscasts, have sound writing skills, a great work ethic, and a can-do attitude. The best person for this job will have excellent live shot skills and thrive on breaking stories.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Create, shoot, write, and edit meaningful stories for the station's newscast, which can be used across multiple platforms.
2. Provide news on-air as directed by the news management team.
3. Engage with local community members.
4. Review material for fairness, accuracy, and balance.
5. Collaborate closely with all members of the news team, including Producers, Editors, Anchors, and News Directors.

Qualifications include:

1. Proven knowledge and experience with current media creation tools and newsroom systems.
2. Ability to excel in storytelling across multiple platforms.
3. Strong writing and copy-editing skills.
4. At least 2 years of experience as a Reporter.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

The hourly compensation range is $29.67 to $37.09, with final compensation based on experience, skills, certifications, and location. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including a retirement plan, bonuses, insurance plans, paid time off, parental leave, and stock purchase plans.
