Base pay range
$55.00/hr - $65.00/hr
Travel: Limited travel may be required for research, on-site meetings, and team-building activities.
Senior Research and Design Specialist to support Clinical portfolios. You will play a pivotal role in creating user-centered experiences for clinicians and staff. Working closely with product management, design leadership and development teams, you will ensure that our applications and technology-enabled clinical workflows best support care teams in delivering quality care and are aligned with our mission of delivering compassionate care. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact healthcare delivery by shaping innovative clinical experiences.
Key Experience:
- Clinical applications + clinical transformation - hybrid between research, design, and discovery ( 70% research interviews / 30% design)
- End to end experience problem identification + solution delivery
- Must have experience working on multiple projects at same time – effective time management
- Medical / clinical knowledge focused on medical software application research methods, interviews, co creation, shadowing, run workshops, concept testing, ambiguous problem solving
- Collaborative, manage stakeholders and opinions, lean on data and rational for alignment
Software Experience
- Integration with EHR's – Cerner, Athena, Epic, Meditech, Alterra, etc.
- Figma, FigJam, JIRA for prototypes
- Google Productivity Suite
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- 4+ years of professional experience in research, service design, systems thinking, and/or product design
- Strong knowledge of human-centered design (HCD) principles and experience applying a variety of methods to meet the needs of users and business stakeholders
- Experience conducting research, from informal user feedback sessions to structured qualitative studies, including interviews and evaluative research
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an innovation pod or start-up environment
- Experience designing integrations using established design systems and libraries; familiarity with EHR design systems is a plus
- Experience designing for healthcare systems and clinical workflows is a plus
- Experience with quantitative research methods is a plus
- Experience designing AI-enabled applications is a plus
