Position: We’re looking for a Technical Writer to support a contract with the Department of State and Bureau of Consular Affairs.

Skillsets / Responsibilities: The technical writer will support the Air Force Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) regarding all tasks associated with the Risk Management Framework lifecycle including but not limited to: System Security Plans, System Categorization Forms, Privacy Impact Assessments, NIST Control Documentation, e-Authentication Risk Assessment Forms, Planned Change Comparative Analyses, Notification of Changes, and System Inventories.

• Coordinate the Security portion of the Enterprise Change Management (ECM) process and provide final analysis for upper management review.
• Maintain, review, and update SOPs used by the Assessment and Authorization team including ECM, Planned Change Comparative Analysis, Internal Routing Process, New Hire On-Boarding Process, and Reporting Methods.
• Provide comprehensive information to new hires during onboarding, including badging, email, PKI credentials, SharePoint, SDLC, SGR, CISO structure, and FISMA compliance.
• Finalize, update, analyze, and review weekly status reports for upper management, and prepare other reports, data calls, or presentations as needed.
• Update and maintain the monthly Contract Status Review, including pay and contract data, using Microsoft Excel with basic formulas.
• Review technical documents for grammar, spelling, style, layout, and conformance to templates and guidelines.
• Create and maintain senior-level briefing materials, including reports, presentations, charts, graphs, and spreadsheets.
• Generate notes at high-level meetings and briefings for the Assessment and Authorization Team and government clients.
• Develop and maintain expertise on Assessment and Authorization, Risk Management, FISMA, NIST Standards, procedures, roles, responsibilities, and key players, applying this knowledge to the client environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and government clients at all levels.
• Assist the Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization Team to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Manage multiple tasks and deliverables against strict deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of technical writing experience related to cybersecurity, information assurance, or IT.
• Certifications such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCPM.
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Security, Cyber, or related field.
• IT and Security certifications are a plus.
• Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Dual Citizen.
