smartdept. inc. is searching for aGraphic Designerfor aRetail Display Manufacturingclient inKansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will have2-3 years of experience in print orpackaging production. This is a contract-to-hireopportunity. The pay for this position is expected to be$20/hr - $25/hr depending on level of experience.

What Youll Do:

• Responsible for conceptual ideas in the form of 3d renderings and graphic design work related to package and point-of-purchasing displays
• Artwork development, optimizing of customer-provided graphics, creative input/brainstorming meetings, conceptual 3d renderings, and development of assembly instructions
• Responsible for pre-flighting and optimizing customer-provided graphic files for high-speed digital inkjet print production
• Reviewing and prepping graphics for print production, prepping files for printed samples, generating PDF proofs, inspecting press sheets, and running color reports

What Youll Need:

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (open to learning ancillary programs such as 3DS Max, Artios CAD)
• The individual for this role should be creative and detail-oriented
• 2-3 years of experience in print and packaging production
