Position Summary
The Mid-Level Graphics Designer will create original graphics, proof files to clients, and collaborate with print and fabrication staff to produce visually appealing products.
Responsibilities
- Provide digital art for all phases of graphic production, including complex vector and raster art.
- Use advanced applications to create collage art with special effects and blending techniques.
- Enhance imagery through color correction and image enhancement techniques.
- Coordinate with EMC departments and clients to clarify visual needs.
- Provide cost estimates, project documentation, and timelines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Support the design of new and existing products, logos, and displays.
- Upload files to work and archival systems.
- Follow project directions from leads and art directors.
- Determine production methods for desired visual effects.
- Maintain a daily task list and record labor hours.
- Complete required training and travel up to 10% as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Fine, Computer, Commercial, Visual, Graphic Arts, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience.
- Background check and ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance.
Skills and Abilities
- Portfolio of vector and raster art, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with large-format graphics and displays.
- Knowledge of VI Systems and processes.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
