About zyBooks:

Have a passion for making a difference in education, careers, and the lives of students? zyBooks, a professor-formed company, produces interactive online learning content that replaces textbooks, homework, and programming labs. We have provided courseware to over 1 million students at around 1,000 universities worldwide.

We are hiring a part-time or full-time author/content developer to create and oversee interactive, web-native IT learning content.

Responsibilities:

1. Create web-based content with concise text, interactive questions, animations, and more for IT topics (Networking, Cybersecurity, Linux, IT fundamentals).
2. Work with project managers to oversee external authoring projects, evaluate proposals, train external authors, and review content quality.
3. Define and implement auto-generated and auto-graded homework assignments.
4. Maintain and improve existing content.
5. Collaborate on developing interactive tools with engineering colleagues.
6. Assist marketing and sales teams with demos, instructor feedback, and special requests.

Qualifications:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in CS or IT.
• Experience teaching CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, and Linux+ courses.
• Content development and authoring experience.
• IT, cybersecurity, or related certifications are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly motivated and organized.
• Passion for education.
• Previous teaching or authoring experience.
• Proof of Covid-19 vaccination or accommodation request required.

Salary Range:

$74,300 to $106,567 USD
