Job Summary
Supervises and manages the children’s area and children’s staff. Plans and presents the majority of children’s programming and class visits.

-Plans and presents children’s programs, story times, and outreach activities.
-Performs Circulation duties, such as checking materials in and out, handling bills and notices, placing items on hold, processing courier delivery, processing a variety of reports, and account maintenance.
-Assists patrons with reference, computer, and equipment questions and support.
-Serves on internal and external committees and workgroups.
-Shelves materials.
-Prepares bulletin boards and other displays.
-Trains children’s library assistants and pages.
-Prepares press releases, flyers and brochures.
-Compiles monthly reports.

Work Requirements:

-High School Diploma or GED.

-Previous library work experience preferred.

-Previous supervisory experience preferred.
