Overview
A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a creative and technical ServiceNow UI/UX Engineer to design user interfaces for a critical DoD Insider Threat application. This position will transform complex data from multiple DoD systems into intuitive, actionable, and visually appealing interfaces and own the User Interface for designated capabilities from concept to deployment, ensuring it is both highly functional and user centric. In this job you will
- Be the hands-on expert for all front-end development, leveraging ServiceNow UI Builder and creating custom components to deliver pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces in alignment with existing UI/UX.
- Write clean, efficient code using modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) within the ServiceNow framework.
- Collaborate closely with back-end developers to seamlessly integrate UI components with application logic, workflows, and API data sources.
- Lead the UI/UX design process from concept to delivery, including user research, journey mapping, wireframing, and interactive prototyping using tools like Figma or Sketch for designated capabilities.
- Design and develop intuitive dashboards and interfaces that consume and visualize complex data from external DoD APIs (REST/SOAP), making it easily digestible for analysts.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system and style guide to ensure consistency and scalability across the application.
- Ensure all interfaces are fully compliant with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards, guaranteeing an inclusive experience for all users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., HCI, Design, Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience.
- 5-7+ years of experience in a UI/UX design or front-end development role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work on data-heavy applications, demonstrating your ability to visualize complex information. Work built on ServiceNow is highly preferred.
- Proven experience building user interfaces on the ServiceNow Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS) platform.
- Hands-on proficiency with ServiceNow UI Builder and/or Service Portal and custom widget development.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.
- A ServiceNow Technical Certification (e.g., Certified Application Developer, UI Builder Micro-Certification).
- Experience designing interfaces for case management or analytical systems.
- Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its impact on UI design.

Salary range
- The salary range of this position is $140,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
