This role will involve: interacting with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor, cultivating regular guests and repeat business, successfully completing a pour test prior to every shift, suggestively selling both beverages and menu items to guests at the bar, delivering food items and beverage orders promptly, prioritizing and organizing drink orders, consistently preparing beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, recording any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log, recognizing when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refusing further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, ensuring responsible alcohol service per local ordinance alcohol awareness training and company alcohol policies, requesting proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age, maintaining HOB safety and sanitation standards, performing opening/running/closing duties according to company policy, preparing guest checks and processing payment according to company policy, maintaining bartender bank, performing cash pull/check out procedures, maintaining appropriate Comp and Spill checks. Qualifications
Required: ability to work late hours, flexible schedule, cash handling experience, must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques, skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork, physically able to pass a pour test and a mixology drill (timed), ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner, tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms, responsible alcohol awareness training certification or equivalent. Preferred: 4 years work experience in high volume environment, experience recognizing valid ID's, experience in a live music environment. Physical Demands/Working Environment
