Associate Systems Designer

The Associate Systems Designer will support engineers by creating drawing layouts using computer-aided drafting software. This role involves creating new and modified components and maintaining the Bill of Materials (BOM). Responsibilities include utilizing CAD software to assist engineers in drawing layouts, creating new and modifying existing components, maintaining and updating the Bill of Materials (BOM), designing layouts in both 2D and 3D formats, and collaborating with team members on mechanical systems design.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with CAD design
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in scratch design, BOM, and ERP systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent with 1-4 years of experience in drafting/design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to use standard Windows Office tools, including SharePoint and email

Work Environment:

The role involves frequent sitting, visual tasks, typing, and manual dexterity. The work schedule follows routine shift hours, with occasional requirements for overtime or weekend work. The position is based in an office setting working alongside a team of five, Monday through Friday. The job entails frequent solitary work and demands precise, exacting tasks with little stress from deadlines.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $26.44/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
