Senior Web Developer/Web Project Lead
Hoskinson Companies is seeking an exceptional Senior Web Developer/Web Project Lead to join our growing Marketing/IT division in Gillette, Wyoming. Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Stack Web Development: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain robust, modern, and visually appealing websites for all Hoskinson Companies divisions.
- E-commerce Development: Build and manage e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences, secure transactions, and effective product presentation.
- Website Maintenance & Enhancement: Continuously maintain existing websites, implementing updates, security patches, performance optimizations, and adding new features and functionalities based on business needs.
- Project Leadership: Manage the entire web development lifecycle for assigned projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Independent Execution & Collaboration: Execute the bulk of development work independently while strategically identifying when to engage and oversee external consultants or specialized experts to ensure project completion and optimal quality.
- Cross-Divisional Support: Work closely with stakeholders from all divisions to understand their unique digital needs and translate them into effective web solutions.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest web technologies, industry trends, and best practices in modern web design, user experience (UX), and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Data-Driven Development: Collaborate with marketing and IT teams to implement analytics, track website performance, and use data to inform design and development decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent extensive practical experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in full-stack web development, demonstrating a broad and deep understanding of web technologies.
- Proven portfolio showcasing modern, slick website designs and functional e-commerce stores.
- Expertise in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Proficiency in back-end development languages and frameworks (e.g., Python/Django/Flask, Node.js/Express, PHP/Laravel, Ruby on Rails) and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Magento, custom solutions).
- Strong understanding of web security best practices, performance optimization, and responsive design.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, resources, and external collaborators.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously with minimal micromanagement.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts and fostering collaboration.
- Must be located in Gillette, Wyoming, or willing to relocate to Gillette, Wyoming.
Reporting Structure: This position will report jointly to the IT Department Head and the Marketing Department Head.
