Client Overview:
Our client is a dynamic and innovative apparel company specializing in women’s and men’s cold-weather accessories. Known for their high-quality, performance-driven designs, they combine functionality with fashion to support the active lifestyles of their customers. Their team thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment where we constantly push the boundaries of cold-weather technical design. Currently, they seek a Temp-to-Perm Packaging Designer with a focus on women’s/men’s cold-weather accessories.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$38/hr - $40/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Temp-to-Perm Packaging Designer role will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to translate seasonal design concepts into accurate technical packages that support both form and function. This is a hybrid freelance role with potential for a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate must be able to work on-site 3 days a week.
Responsibilities of the Temp-to-Perm Packaging Designer:
Design packaging for a wide range of cold-weather accessories that reflect the brand identity and resonate with target customers.
Develop dyelines, prototypes, hang tags, belly bands, inserts, boxes, and display solutions for retail and e-commerce.
Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure packaging enhances product presentation and supports sales objectives.
Source sustainable, cost-effective packaging materials that protect products while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
Required Experience/Skills for the Temp-to-Perm Packaging Designer:
5+ years of experience in packaging design for women’s/men’s cold-weather accessories.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator), Excel, and PLM systems.
Strong knowledge of technical construction for packaging, fit for cold-weather accessories.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Temp-to-Perm Packaging Designer:
Strong packaging design skills in the women’s/men’s cold-weather accessories market.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for packaging design.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
