Position Summary:

The Editorial Director is a key position in the organization that ensures that the content published is true to our brands' missions and values and builds on our leadership position in health and medical information worldwide. This position ensures timely, engaging, and relevant

coverage for healthcare professionals.

The Editorial Director will oversee high quality content planning and execution across a variety of interactive editorial products. They will work with key opinion leaders and other medical experts to ensure relevancy and accuracy. They will work closely with varied internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution to meet publication goals. They will clearly communicate approaches and provide regular status updates as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

    Writing and editing program content, and finalizing with medical experts

    Working with medical writers to develop interactive medical content, and finalizing that content with medical contributors

    Coordinating all tasks with Project Manager using WorkFront

    Coordinating with the marketing team around upcoming mailers

    Coordinating content posting to external platforms

    Assisting with interactive topic planning

    Providing administrative program tracking as needed, and assist with resource planning to meet contractual and engagement delivery goals

    Review audience data and track medical developments to include results of major studies, release of clinical guidelines, and drug approvals to facilitate content planning

    Serve as a mentor to team members and/or direct reports as requested, guiding professional development and developing practical skills within the role as appropriate to support business needs

    Work with team members to refine best practices, ensure consistency, and increase efficiency

Required:

    Minimum 5 years' experience in medical digital publishing

    Experience with interactive medical content helpful

    Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism or a similar field preferred or equivalent years of editing related experience

    Robust grasp of disease pathophysiology, treatment modalities, and emerging therapies

    Ability to analyze complex data including but not limited to clinical trials, treatment guidelines, and scientific publication research with an understanding of global, regional, or country unique audience needs

    Strong interpersonal communication skills and writing that demonstrates correct grammar, punctuation, and syntax

    Proven initiative, problem-solving skills, interpersonal communication skills, and organized, detail-oriented approach

    Proficiency in Google and Microsoft suites to include Word, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Excel

    Experience with Workfront or other project management tools preferred

    Ability to effectively collaborate and work independently while appropriately prioritizing work streams with high volume and firm deadlines

Salary range: $93,500 - $100,000
