MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Vice President of Marketing & Development is to drive the growth of Mentoring Alliance by leading regional expansion, donor development, and marketing strategies. This role ensures our brand, partnerships, and campaigns work together to fuel sustainable ministry growth.

KEY RESULT AREAS

1. Leadership, Management, Accountability: Provide leadership and strategic direction that aligns with MA's goals to staff involved in growth functions.

2. Revenue Growth & Donor Strategy: Strengthens the donor lifecycle from acquisition to retention, delivering year-over-year revenue increases through strategic fundraising and donor engagement.

3. Expansion & Market Development: Launches new regions in alignment with MA's growth strategy and board-approved criteria.

4. Marketing & Engagement Strategy: Increases brand visibility and public engagement across key platforms and audiences.

5. Engagement Campaigns & Public Presence: Leads the design and execution of high-impact campaigns and events.

6. Insight-Driven Optimization: Establish key metrics and dashboards to track growth, donor trends, and marketing success.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., business, nonprofit management, leadership); Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or ministry context
  • Proven executive or senior leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, and/or regional expansion
  • Skilled in developing organizational strategy and aligning cross-functional teams to mission and outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to launch and grow programs in new markets with measurable impact
  • Experience leading high-capacity teams and driving accountability across multiple departments
  • Strong grasp of donor development, donor lifecycle management, and revenue growth strategies
  • Proficiency in managing complex budgets, vendor relationships, and multi-site logistics
  • Availability to travel regionally as needed
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
