They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their site in the western suburbs of IL to take the operation to the next levelJob DescriptionDevelop, manage, and optimize production schedules to meet customer delivery requirementsMonitor product profitability and contribute to pricing and cost-analysis strategiesLead initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs and increase operational efficiencyDocument and maintain procedures for manufacturing operations and process improvementsCollaborate with Sales, Quality, and Engineering to resolve customer issues and production challengesOversee all aspects of product quality, including KPIs and customer-facing performance metricsSupport research and development of new products and processesAct as a liaison with customers as needed to resolve technical, quality, or delivery concernsCommunicate production and quality-related updates to operational staff and leadershipLead and mentor production teams, focusing on performance management, training, and safetyDevelop long-term plans for staffing, equipment, and process improvementsEnsure compliance with relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO), and promote a culture of quality throughout the organizationProcure raw materials and factory consumables in collaboration with supply chain or procurement teamsChampion lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kanban, standardized work, and visual managementSupport cross-functional teams in continuous improvement and operational excellence effortsPerform additional duties or projects as assignedMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
