Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our System Health Solutions leadership team in the role of Director- Marketing & Communications.

This role leads a multi-functional team of marketers and communicators supporting the IU Health business unit, System Health Solutions which includes a vast portfolio of Clinical Operations, IU Health's community-based and health disparities initiatives as well as other business support departments such as Enterprise Growth and Activation, Corporate Real Estate and Design and Construction. Supports System Health Solutions overall cultural and engagement work. Establishes policy, goals and direction for the business unit marketing and communications department and is accountable for department results in support of the business unit and system promise dashboard goal achievement. Serves as a key stakeholder with and/or serves as a member of business unit executive leadership teams and with the statewide marketing team and statewide communications team leadership structures.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Health Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Media, Journalism or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in both marketing and communications (internal corporate communications and public relations/social media management) work is preferred.
  • Requires 3+ years of direct supervisory leadership experience. Experience leading both marketing and communications work and teams is preferred.
  • Requires leadership experience in a matrix organization and complex work environment.
  • Requires knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory agency guidelines and laws.
