This position is located in Port Hueneme, CA (On-Site/Office). The role is full time and does not offer overtime exemption. It reports to ARMADA HQ and requires a TS with SCI Eligibility security clearance.
The Communications Security (COMSEC) will:
- Interpret and utilize Key Management Infrastructure Operating Account (KOA) instructions to ensure files are maintained and destroyed in accordance with regulation.
- Assist the KOA Manager and KOA Alternate(s) Manager with routine administrative account matters and general file maintenance.
- Perform page checks and entering amendments and corrections in KOA-related publications and documentation; sign receipts, inventory, and destruction reports as a witness only; and review and updating markings on COMSEC material.
- Accompany and assist personnel in maintaining Two Person Integrity when delivering, picking up and processing KOA material: marking, packaging, and wrapping COMSEC material for transport or shipping. This includes working with Local Elements (LE) to ensure proper safeguards and compliances are in place for audits, inventory management, and random spot checks.
- Administer, up to and including, top-secret inventory and document control programs to account for COMSEC equipment and materials. Inventories shall be conducted per agency policy and report discrepancies to the Government site lead.
- Perform, review and correct refresher COMSEC and Crypto briefings and employee training on processes and procedures in accordance with required references.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) include:
- Strong task management, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, and providing a high level of customer services with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products.
Minimum/General Experience includes:
- Two years of experience: witnessing, delivering, picking up, and processing KOA; reviewing, updating, and applying status; file destruction; performing two person integrity.
- One year of experience: conducting page; executing material; providing COMSEC briefings and trainings.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and two years of experience, OR, HS diploma/GED, and six years of experience.
