The Communications & Marketing Specialist will ensure that all Xavier communications including social media channels, print publications, marketing materials, email marketing, website, press releases, graphic design etc.-properly support and reflect our mission and goals for recruitment, fundraising initiatives, alumni, parent, and community relations essential to sustaining our school's competitive position and continued strength.Specific Job Duties can include: Direct, coordinate and write school communication pieces for current and prospective families, donors, alumni, and friends. Produce The Xavier Magazine-the school's bi-yearly publication. Responsibilities include working with department heads to brainstorm story ideas, creating a publication timeline, writing/editing stories, coordinating interviews, taking photos, organizing electronic files, sending files to designer, asking for print quotes, coordinating aesthetic layout, and seeing the project through to publication. Manage Social Media accounts - Facebook, Linked In, Instagram and YouTube. Create email marketing pieces, including but not limited to, weekly parent news, parent emails, priest/principal emails, event promotion/invitations, and holiday messages. Act as Project Manager working with marketing firms, freelance graphics, and website designers - and video production companies - to create captivating pieces for school events and marketing purposes. Oversee and work with a marketing firm on digital marketing campaigns for admissions awareness. Serve as Communications Strategist. Create and implement an effective communications strategy across all departments and communications mediums. Write and distribute all media releases. Responsible for collecting stories, responding to inquiries, and creating feature articles for news media. Monitor and track effectiveness of media efforts. Act as Webmaster (primary publisher and editor) of the school's website. This includes ensuring continuity of the school's message across all pages of the site, updating featured photography, posting news stories and the creation of online forms. Manage school photography and videography - identify photo/video opportunities, coordinate photography/videographer (professional or in-house) for various events; file and store all school photographs/videos with the appropriate labels for ease of use in the future. Assist in creating, writing, and/or reformatting documents created by or for various administrative departments. Manage or create various communication needs throughout the year; including but not limited to brochures, reports, programs, posters, direct mail, invitations, signage, etc. as requested. Coordinate with Admissions, Advancement, and other departments with the planning and scheduling of all marketing and communications requests to various constituents - parents, alumni, prospective families, internal, etc. Maintain the school's identity and brand guidelines by enforcing visual standards, accurate messaging and style throughout all school communications and branded merchandise. Responsible for continual professional development, both in and out of school. Work as a servant leader of the Catholic faith and uphold values in word and action.
