Summary:

We’re seeking a Proposal Writer & Technical Content Strategist to lead the creation of persuasive, polished, strategically formatted, and visually stunning proposals that win contracts and task orders. This role combines creative writing, technical understanding, and expert-level document and marketing graphics design. You’ll work closely with our engineers and leadership team to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with clients and evaluators.

Responsibilities:

1. Craft compelling proposals, RFP responses, and task order submissions with a strong narrative and persuasive tone.
2. Translate technical engineering content into clear, tailored messaging suited to client needs.
3. Develop and maintain proposal templates, style guides, and formatting standards using tools like MS Word Styles and Adobe Acrobat.
4. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and shape messaging.
5. Ensure proposals meet all compliance requirements while standing out creatively.
6. Manage proposal timelines, version control, and submission logistics.
7. Exhibit exceptional writing and storytelling skills, especially in technical and business contexts.
8. Proven experience in crafting proposals for engineering, architecture, or technical services firms.
9. Advanced proficiency in formatting tools (Word Styles, tables, headers/footers, TOCs, etc.)
10. Advanced skills in marketing graphics and document design.
11. Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly and impactfully.
12. Strong project management and organizational skills.
13. Work in a flexible environment with opportunities to grow and lead.

Education/Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a technical discipline with demonstrated writing expertise.
3. 5+ years of experience in proposal writing and management, preferably in engineering, architecture, construction, or related technical fields.
4. Proven success in winning government, municipal, or private sector contracts through proposal development.
5. Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to translate technical content into persuasive narratives.
6. Strong portfolio of past proposals, RFP responses, or marketing materials demonstrating storytelling, formatting, and graphic design skills.
7. Familiarity with procurement platforms (SAM.gov, FedConnect, state/local portals) is a plus.
