Job Description and Duties
Will consider Supervising Librarian I.
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, Office of Business Services, the Supervising Librarian II is responsible for managing the Transportation Library in Sacramento. The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures supporting library operations and meeting service and access goals. This position is also responsible for the Department's Records Management Program, including microfilming of all vital records. In addition, this position is responsible for the Headquarters Commute Management. The Supervising Librarian II supervises a staff of Senior Librarians and an Associate Governmental Program Analyst.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Supervising Librarian II exam. For those who do not have current eligibility and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
