KCSA Strategic Communications is a full-service integrated communications firm that helps companies to shape perception, build influence and achieve meaningful business impact. Within KCSA, the Healthcare PR team specializes in working with companies that are advancing market-changing treatments/approaches that challenge the standard of care to better patients’ lives and the healthcare industry as a whole.

We’re looking for a Public Relations Account Executive who’s as passionate about healthcare as they are about building trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and media. What you’ll do:

• Participation in all client-facing contact on 5-6 different client accounts
• Day-to-day program involvement, including drafting press releases, media pitches, messaging documents, bylined articles and more
• Develop & strengthen relevant media relationships with top-tier mainstream media and B2B healthcare industry trade publications
• Drafting of status reports / forecast / recaps to be provided to senior leaders
• Work with the team to develop conference and awards strategies that elevate client visibility and industry leadership.
• Mentor and grow junior team members and interns, nurturing the next generation of communications professionals.

Who you are:

• You bring 2+ years of PR experience in an agency setting, preferably in the healthcare space.
• You’re a confident communicator and relationship-builder, both with clients and media.
• You thrive in collaborative environments
• You’re detail-oriented, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• You are a strategic thinker and can provide calm/focus to a team even when under pressure.
