Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer with a strong background in IT Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing technical documentation related to infrastructure systems, processes, and policies. This role requires close collaboration with technical and security teams to ensure documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and Maintain Infrastructure Documentation: Write, edit, and update technical documents including processes, procedures, policies, and knowledge base articles for infrastructure systems. Develop and maintain process documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and infrastructure policies and procedures. Ensure documentation is clear, concise, and accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work closely with infrastructure engineers, system administrators, and others to gather information and validate documentation. Engage with Information Security Team: Partner with InfoSec to document security-related infrastructure processes and compliance procedures. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with a focus on IT Infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud environments). Strong understanding of networking concepts, cloud technologies and architectures, server and storage management, and complex technical concepts. Proficiency in documentation tools (using Microsoft Word, Visio, MS SharePoint & Teams) Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Detail oriented. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Education and Experience
Prefer - Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Information Technology, Computer Science, English, or a related field. Degree may be waived if candidate has compelling direct experience as a technical writer or experience working in an infrastructure support capacity. 3-5 years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with a focus on IT infrastructure or cloud technologies.
