Job Title: EXPEDITOR/BUYER
Primary Job Functions:
Act as a liaison between various departments and company suppliers, directing shipments to the correct location and arranging for timed deliveries.
Oversee and facilitate the smooth flow of work and materials within or among departments according to production or shipping schedules.
Expedite assigned purchase orders to ensure all requirements specified in the purchase order are accomplished.
Assist Accounts Payable in resolving invoice issues with suppliers.
Manage returns to suppliers due to quality issues and coordinate replacements.
Perform essential functions required by the job.
Secondary Job Functions:
Source vendors of material, equipment or supplies, determine product availability, lead times, pricing and payment terms
Prepare and process purchase orders for material, equipment and supplies
Review purchase order claims for conformance to company policy
Ensure on-time delivery from all suppliers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience as an Expeditor or similar role
Familiarity with purchasing components, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Experience in a production environment is a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with inventory software
Strong communication and negotiation skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands:
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Week: 40+ Hours Lunch: 1 hour
(Some overtime may be required with prior approval by management.)

Standing & Walking: 10%
