Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising Communications, the Coordinator of Fundraising Communications supports the execution of integrated marketing and communications plans for Fordham University's schools and centers.

The incumbent collaborates closely with the Fundraising Communications team and schools' development staff to produce and implement targeted fundraising messages across print and digital channels. The Coordinator helps ensure projects are completed on time and aligned with the University's messaging strategy and fundraising goals.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Essential Functions

Executes marketing and communications initiatives to support fundraising goals for Fordham's schools, programs, and centers.

Serves as the day-to-day project coordinator for area-specific fundraising communications calendar, managing timelines, deliverables, and campaign logistics.

Manages the intake and execution of communications requests from campus partners, overseeing the intake form process, coordinating timelines, and ensuring timely delivery of approved content across relevant channels.

Drafts content for emails, print materials, and social media posts, ensuring alignment with messaging strategy and brand guidelines established by the Director.

Collaborates with graphic designers, digital platform administrators, and vendors to ensure high-quality production and delivery of campaign materials.

Assists with campaign setup and list coordination in systems like Marketing Cloud, GiveCampus, or other relevant platforms.

Participates in regular planning meetings to provide project updates, gather input from stakeholders, and refine deliverables as needed.

Supports performance tracking and reporting by compiling basic analytics and providing summaries to inform ongoing improvements.

Maintains shared tools, templates, and documentation to support efficient workflows and message consistency.

Additional Functions

Participates in university-wide campaigns (Giving Day, Giving Tuesday, etc.).

Engages in professional development opportunities to stay informed on industry trends and best practices in fundraising communications and marketing.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, internships, or demonstrated transferable skills in communications, marketing, project coordination, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.

Proficiency in managing deadlines, juggling multiple projects, and navigating cross-functional collaboration.

Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools and direct response best practices.

Interest in and willingness to learn about fundraising, donor engagement, and higher education advancement.

Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working in a team-oriented environment.

Proven ability to exercise discretion when working with confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education or nonprofit development settings.

Experience with Marketing Cloud and/or Mailchimp.

Experience working with a relational database (e.g. CRM Advance, Salesforce, Blackbaud, etc.).

Familiarity with additional common higher education fundraising technologies (e.g. GiveCampus, ThankView, PledgeMine, EverTrue, Givezy, etc.).

Minimum Starting Salary $65,000

Maximum Starting Salary $70,000

Note Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
