Media and Communications Specialist- Remote | Albany, New York, United States
Pay rates: $45 - 50/hr on W2
Location: Remote - Candidate must be located in NYC and be familiar with the neighborhoods/communities for marketing and promotion of these public hearings.

"> Job Duties:
Prepare and distribute timely announcements regarding scheduled hearings and meetings. Ensure compliance with applicable public notice requirements and accessibility standards. Draft, edit, and disseminate press releases, advertisements, and social media content related to hearings. Coordinate with local media outlets to secure coverage and placement of announcements. Develop content strategies that increase community awareness and engagement. Manage and update social media channels with relevant announcements, reminders, and recaps. Monitor community response and engagement. Design and oversee the design of print, digital, and social media advertisements for hearings. Ensure advertisements are clear, accurate, and consistent with organizational branding. Maintain a record of all communications and notices distributed. Job Qualifications:
General ability to communicate with project team via email and, on occasion, via WebEx video** Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat for PDFs. Good time management and ability to work efficiently and independently. Education and Experience:
Associate degree. 3 years' experience. Familiarity with the neighborhoods/communities for marketing and promotion of these public hearings. Preferred Credentials:
Proficiency with social media and marketing and communication channels.
