Operations Manager
is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all back-of-house functions within the boutique. This role plays a crucial part in driving operational efficiency, ensuring financial control, managing inventory, and upholding compliance with brand procedures and standards. The Operations Manager partners closely with both store leadership and corporate stakeholders to provide seamless support of day-to-day business needs, while fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy, and accountability. The objective of this role is to support the boutiques overall commercial success by maintaining a highly organized and efficient operational environment that enables the front-of-house team to focus on delivering a superior luxury experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This role will oversee key areas of boutique operations, including: Own all daily back-of-house functions including inventory control, stock handling, shipping/receiving, administrative flow, and supply management Ensure all operational processes follow current company policies and audit standards; update and implement new procedures as needed Monitor compliance for all SOPs, including shipping/receiving, returns, repairs, and after-sales procedures Act as boutique liaison with corporate teams (Finance, HR, Security, Facilities) for operational updates, tools, and reporting Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate routine maintenance and operational support services Support Store Director with implementation of internal control policies and continuous process improvements Ensure accurate and timely merchandise receiving, tagging, transfers, and storage in accordance with corporate guidelines Manage inventory cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and discrepancy reporting Oversee boutique expenses, invoices, and petty cash procedures; collaborate with Finance for reconciliation and reporting Coordinate with corporate teams to ensure financial accuracy and expense oversight Manage and develop a team of approximately 6 direct reports including Sales Administrators and Security Guards Create schedules and staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage for back-of-house and security functions Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance to ensure operational excellence and adherence to brand expectations Partner with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members Safety, Security & Facilities Oversight Ensure boutique complies with all safety protocols, emergency procedures, and security regulations Oversee all security-related equipment and systems in partnership with corporate Security and external vendors Manage boutique readiness for events, visits, audits, and brand activations in-store Address and report any facility-related concerns or needs to appropriate corporate teams Ad-Hoc & Special Projects Lead operational readiness for new initiatives, store openings, system upgrades, or corporate projects. Contribute to store meetings and strategy sessions, offering operational insights to support business goals. Serve as the boutiques operations expert, continuously reviewing trends and areas for improvement. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 6 years of experience in luxury retail operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong experience in inventory management, financial operations, and back-of-house compliance Demonstrated ability to lead teams with a high standard of accountability, clarity, and performance Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; professional and proactive in cross-functional collaboration Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of tools like Beanstore, Salesforce, SAP, or equivalent a plus Comfortable using store operations and inventory management tools Flexible schedule to support business needs, including weekends, holidays, and evenings Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and move merchandise as needed Seniority level
